Overview

Forum user Walnut shares a free Cubase key commands preset on the Steinberg forums, built after clearing every default shortcut and adding commands only as needed. It uses single keys such as I to add an instrument track, A to add an audio track, O to open or close plugins, and R, M and S for record, mute and solo, while the left and right arrow keys move back and forward by bar.

An empty key commands file and a preferences file are attached alongside it. The files are XML presets saved from a Mac, so the modifier keys are Command and Option.
