Indie developer phasenpunkt offers Roadsoul Bass Lite, a free vintage bass instrument for HALion and HALion Sonic sampled from a Crumar Roady. The download is a zip with a user manual and a .vstpreset file that installs through the Steinberg Library Manager when double-clicked, after which the instrument appears in HALion Sonic's preset library.

It has a four-stage configurable FX chain with chorus, phaser, distortion, ring mod, frequency shifter, delay, reverb and an amplifier. It is a pay-what-you-want Gumroad download from $0 and needs HALion Sonic 7 or later, which Steinberg provides for free.
