Overview
mvelentzas shares two Grasshopper definitions for Rhino 8 that nest parts for CNC cutting with OpenNest, shown in the video Nesting in Rhino 8 with OpenNest, Elefront and byRhinoGadget. One definition nests each part's bounding box (faster), the other nests the polysurfaces themselves (slower), while eleFront reads Rhino object names and properties to label the parts; two companion Python scripts add the names as text or dots.
All three plugins (OpenNest, eleFront, byRhinoGadget) are free on food4rhino, and the definitions (26 KB and 20 KB) are free downloads from Google Drive links in the description. Useful for digital fabrication and CNC-based furniture work.
