Overview

The Eleven Rig (ElevenRig_v1.2) is an open-source cartoon character rig for animation practice, maintained by the Eleven Rig community and made for Maya 2014. The creators note that it may not work reliably in Maya versions newer than 2014, so an older Maya release is recommended, and the project was discontinued in 2020.

The rig ships as a zip with the Maya rig scene, a free direct download from a Dropbox link on the Eleven Rig blog; the open-source license allows commercial use and modification with credit, but bans obscene or hateful content. Still a well-known choice for animation students working in older Maya releases.
