Overview
The University of Notre Dame's First-Year Engineering program (EG10117 Engineering Design) publishes the starter files for its SolidWorks I to IV tutorials on an archived resources page. The .SLDPRT files (SampleCube, MirrorExercise, LinearPatternExercise, TextExercise and the parts for the assembly exercise) support lessons on extrude boss and cut, mirror, fillet, revolve, linear patterns, sketched text, and assembly with Pack and Go.
Each part is a public Google Drive link and downloads free; the accompanying Panopto lecture videos, however, require a Notre Dame login. The page is marked historical because the course stops using SolidWorks from fall 2026, but the files remain a tidy set of first-steps exercises for beginners.
