Free TouchDesigner Component: TdHttpApi HTTP Bridge for AI Coding Agents (cacheflowe)

Overview

cacheflowe shares TdHttpApi.tox, an HTTP bridge that gives AI agents autonomous read/write access to a running TouchDesigner project, in the Derivative community Asset section. Through a REST API and open-ended Python scripting, a coding agent such as Claude or Copilot can see the full network structure as JSON, list broken operators with their error messages, inspect cook times, read DATs, create and wire nodes and set parameters.

The post also lists Mermaid network diagram export (/network.mmd) and an /examples route, and it warns that agent actions can change the network immediately with no undo and that the API is still a work in progress. The component is a free direct download from the post (TdHttpApi.tox, 235.38 KB).
