Free TouchDesigner Project: CuryCue Cue-Based Show Control for Theater & Installations (Evgeniy Afonin)
Original title: CuryCue (a set of tools for TouchDesigner, focused on managing and controlling content during live performances)
Overview
Evgeniy Afonin (Curiosity Media Lab) shares CuryCue, a cue-based control system built in TouchDesigner for theater performances, installations and interactive multimedia shows, with logic inspired by QLab and lighting consoles. Components and their parameters become fixtures, cues store only the changes and inherit everything else, and a show mode lets operators who do not know TouchDesigner switch and link cues.
A content preset system routes presets with internal timelines, and an optional Engine Room renders heavy presets in isolated TouchEngine processes so they cannot stall the show. The core is written in Python and SQLite, the project is licensed CC BY-NC 4.0 and it is a free direct download from GitHub.
