Overview

Shuhei Matsuyama explains in this Japanese tutorial how to read hand tracking from a Leap Motion controller with the Leap Motion CHOP. In leap_motion1.toe a Select CHOP with the pattern hand0*r* keeps the rotation channels of the first tracked hand and passes them to a Transform SOP, so a rendered box turns with the hand.

The post also describes the HMD mode and hand-count parameters of the CHOP. The .toe is a free Dropbox download, and a Leap Motion device with its driver is needed.
