Free TouchDesigner Project: TDXvCon GPU Batch Video Transcoder (jpkelly)

Overview

jpkelly shares TDXvCon, a batch video transcoder built in TouchDesigner, in the Derivative community Asset section. The transcoder.toe project runs a Movie File In TOP into a Movie File Out TOP so encoding happens on the GPU, and it opens in perform mode with a queue panel where files or folders can be dragged in.

Supported codecs include NotchLC, Hap (hap/hapq/hapr/haphdr), ProRes, CineForm, H.264 and H.265, and audio is muxed in afterward with ffmpeg, which a button in the setup dialog installs. The attachment transcoder.toe_0.zip (461.74 KB) is a free direct download, and the post notes that the tool is macOS only so far and at version 0.1.5, with an optional vcon command-line tool on PyPI.
