Overview

Microsoft shares Kippy's Escape, an open source HoloLens 2 sample app built with Unreal Engine and the Mixed Reality UX Tools plugin, in which players solve a series of puzzles to help Kippy the robot reach its rocket ship. The project shows UX Tools hand interaction actors, bounds controls, manipulators, sliders and buttons, together with spatial audio and eye tracking.

It targets Unreal Engine 4.26 or later, ships the UXTools plugin and a C++ module, and can be played in the editor with two simulated blue hands, streamed to a headset or deployed to a HoloLens 2. The archived, MIT-licensed project is a free download from GitHub.
