Free Unreal Engine 5.0 Project: Complete 2D Space Shooter in C++ (Oleksandr Smirnov)

Overview

Oleksandr Smirnov (oophiuchuss) shares a simple 2D space shooter written in Unreal Engine 5.0.3, his first fully playable game in UE5. The C++ and Blueprint project has main menu, difficulty, gameplay and high-score maps, a starship that fires bullets, space monsters with their own projectiles and a spawner, a homing actor component, an event manager and a save game class.

The repository holds both the full Unreal project and a packaged build, and the README credits a Coursera course on object-oriented programming for Unreal games for teaching the basics. It is a free download from GitHub.
