Overview

BenoLimits shares this free Unreal Engine 5 project containing a drag-and-drop hotbar and inventory system made using Blueprints only. Built on the standard Third Person Template, the hotbar and inventory are components on the player controller, with items defined in a data table, item stacking with a maximum stack size, drag and drop between the hotbar, the inventory and the level, Enhanced Input and an icon generator tool that turns static meshes into item icons.

The .uproject targets Unreal Engine 5.1 and the README asks for Git LFS to be installed before cloning; item splitting, saving and network replication are listed as to-dos. The repository is free on GitHub under the MIT license.
