Free Unreal Engine 5.5 Project: C++ 2D Platformer Testbed with Paper2D (Valerio Santinelli)

Overview

Valerio Santinelli (tanis2000) shares Unreal-Test2DPlatformer, a personal project he uses as a testbed for different features of 2D games made with Unreal Engine 5. It is biased towards C++ code with sparse use of Blueprints, and its main features are a pixel-perfect orthographic camera, arcade-style controls for movement and jumps, behavior-tree-based AI, a navigation mesh, combat text, a leaderboard and menus.

The content uses Paper2D sprites, tilemaps and tilesets across several maps. The project targets engine version 5.5 and is a free MIT-licensed download from GitHub.
