Free Unreal Engine Sample Project: Stack O Bot Third-Person Platformer (Epic Games)

Overview

Epic Games offers Stack O Bot on Fab, a sample project that has been fully rebuilt for Unreal Engine 5.6 as a learning resource and starting point for new developers. It includes a fully playable third-person platforming character, puzzle mechanics with physics-based interactions, procedural tools for environment and gameplay creation, level-building workflows, modular objective and progression systems and UV-less smart materials.

Every feature is explained through in-game developer commentary as well as commented Blueprints and materials, and the project supports touchscreen, gamepad and keyboard and mouse input across devices from mobile phones to high-end PCs. It is free with an Epic account through Fab, with the older sample available for engine versions before 5.6 and versions up to 5.8.
