Free DaVinci Resolve DCTL: Halation with Exponential Falloff (hotgluebanjo)

Overview

GitHub user hotgluebanjo shares a free halation DCTL for DaVinci Resolve. It uses exponential falloff rather than a plain Gaussian blur and includes two methods, neither of which relies on Sobel or similar edge detection.

The README says the DCTL needs scene-linear values, so any transfer function should be removed first, for example with the Colorspace Transform OFX, and the tool is applied through the DCTL OFX plug-in. A short FAQ explains why the default size is small and why slight softening of the frame is expected.
