Free TouchDesigner 2022 Workshop Files: Arduino Serial, Sensors & IMU (ITP/IMA)

Overview

This repository holds the material of an intro workshop for ITP/IMA on connecting an Arduino to TouchDesigner through serial communication. Arduino sketches send button, analog sensor or built-in IMU readings from an Arduino Nano 33 IoT, the IMU values being twist, tilt and turn from a Madgwick filter, as comma-separated values.

A sample .toe shows the Serial DAT settings, Python scripts and CHOPs that turn those messages into channels, and the README walks through every step with screenshots. It uses the free version of TouchDesigner 2022 and is a free direct download from GitHub.
