Overview

Jarrett Smith shares a general-purpose show system on the Derivative forum, released for testing before being added to the palette, for people asking how to set up installations and show systems. The core is a contained show component that loads any components tagged TDScene from an external Scenes COMP, expects each scene to have an out1 TOP, pulses the scene's Start and Play controls and cross-fades between scenes over set fade in and out times.

Scenes are changed by setting Next Scene and clicking Fire Scene or through script commands shown in example DATs, and scenes that are not displayed are properly shut down.
