Free TouchDesigner Project: Order-Independent Transparency and Draw Sorting Examples (Official, Derivative)

Overview

Derivative's documentation article on transparency explains how alpha, blending and draw order interact when rendering in TouchDesigner. The attached Transparency_Order_Independant.toe has networks that toggle the Render TOP between order-independent transparency and sorted blending, with scenes that need 2 and 5 transparency passes.

Transparency_Sorting.toe shows static and dynamically calculated Draw Priority sorting, and Controlling_alpha.tox demonstrates the ways to set geometry alpha. The files are free direct downloads from docs.derivative.ca.
