Free Unity 2022.3 Project: Galactic Kittens 2D Co-op Netcode Shooter (Unity)

Overview

Galactic Kittens is a 2D co-op space adventure sample game from Unity Technologies, where players blast off to space and defeat the enemies within a short time. It was made with Netcode for GameObjects and is designed to teach how to synchronize sprite animations, particle effects, basic 2D movement of GameObjects and UI status.

The game flow is split into seven main scenes (Bootstrap, Menu, CharacterSelection, Controls, Gameplay, Victory and Defeat) with managers for connection, scene transitions and audio. The project file is Unity 2022.3.19f1 and it is free on GitHub under the Unity Companion License.
