Overview

Unity Technologies offers the Karting Microgame, a small, fully playable racing game designed to help beginners get started with Unity, as a free 3D sample project on the Asset Store. It comes with In-Editor Tutorials for customising the game, modular track prefabs that snap to the world grid, customisable karts and gameplay, ready-made assets and environments, and web publishing support.

The page notes it is a complete project template with its own project settings and package dependencies, also available as a Learning template in Unity Hub, and lists URP-compatible versions from 2021.2.13f1 to 6000.3.17f1. Version 4.1.0 (24.7 MB) is free after signing in with a Unity account, and its assets are covered by the Unity Companion License.
