Free Unreal Engine Project Template: Nano for Tiny Game Jam Builds (Nick Pfisterer)
Original title: Nano - A tiny template for tiny Unreal games
Overview
Nick Pfisterer (pfist) shares Nano, a tiny project template for making tiny games with UE4 and UE5, created to help developers compete for the Tiny Award in Epic's Unreal game jams, which requires a game under 150 MB. Out of the box it is set to Windows only, DirectX 11 and 12, the Shipping build configuration, no editor content, the empty Entry map as the default, shared material code and libraries, compressed cooked packages and disabled Oculus VR, Steam VR and Magic Leap plugins.
The README benchmarks a 64-bit Shipping build at 113 MB in Unreal Engine 4.26 against 211 MB for the Blank template, and says Nano works with 4.26 or older and UE5 Early Access but not small enough with 4.27. The template downloads free as TP_Nano.zip from the GitHub releases and is copied into the engine's Templates folder.
